whassssup brahs and brahzieres, heres my account of the albany palace show:
so i roll up to the palace and like we get to a lot and pay our $10 to THE MAN..i pop open my sammy smith nut brown and hit the streets. I run into my boy Spun Rob and my girl Sunshine and we all go for a sess in Sunshines minivan. my boy Roger shows up with the molecule and we all dip in for round one. Sunshine brought the headdies and we puffed super tough. after leaving the van in a smoked-out haze, me and Spun Rob wander the lots. we grabbed some fuel, some L, and mixed up a rum and coke back at sunshines. After a couple of drinks it was time for the show so i dropped some blotter, snorted some K, and popped a pill of pure MDMA. i was feeling pretty good and knew my condition would be perfect to fairly judge the show.
after taking a massive piss and hitting up the balcony for a couple bumps, me and my crew were ready to throw down Magner side. we all met up right when the lights went low and the show was on.
SET ONE: The Very Moon opener was friggin sweet. I didnt really pay attention to it cause I was catching up with my boys. that and the molly and the k were really taking hold of me. The jam into Munchkin was the HEAT! and then BOOM! right into Betty Boop. i was dripping with sweat knocking into all my boys and screaming at magner. we were all going nuts as the four on the floor got going. I ran to grab a beer, stopped by the bathroom for a bump of yay and a piss then got back in time for jigsaw...i think...whatever it was it was the tits. i mean barber was all over it and i was dancing my sweet virgin ass off. i was just covered in sweat and knocking into EVERYONE and screaming stuff in my friends ears and spilling my drink everywhere. it was AWESOME. then we got the Triumph closer! i havent heard this since, i dont know when! it was sicky mcsicksters and i was flipping out. security came by and was pushing us around so i dipped out and knocked into my kid Troy. he dosed me again and then we did key bumps of oxys in the back right of the venue til first set ended with a RAGING floodlights!
during setbreak i sat and laughed at all the people i was with. we were so F---D up! I drank like 8 beers during set break. then the band came back on and i was like FINALLY time to rock out with my genitals out.
SET TWO: so a new tune kicked it off and i didnt really pay attention but i was dancing alot and i met this cute chick who kept asking me where my friends were...then i found em and she disappeared which was too bad. i think she liked my dance moves. then the jam into HELIX was the best copters i have ever heard. i was syncing up my every movement to the trance of allens drum. i dont care what anyone says, sammy cant touch Allens skillz. then we got down and salsa-steelo wit a sick Abraxis, easily the sickest Barber tune evah! i really liked the lyrics. that was real sweet and then nughuffer! i was going so nuts during this song that i knocked over my friend into a seat and he broke his leg. then security grabbed me and threw me out of the venue. SICKEST NUGHUFFER EVAH YO! i heard some of it from outside. i then met up with some other kids who were chillin outside and i blasted molly till 11 am on Sunday. For all those kids who havent gotten this show, its totally worth a listen. take my word for it: sickest show ever.

Commentary: My first show review! I went to this show with my then girlfriend. We had great seats in the third row. We got to our seats and when the lights went low the kidz stormed the aisles and seats. All night I watched as this crew of beligerent dudes pushed each other and slapped each other and knocked beer all over the place. They were screaming at Barber the entire show and chatting during most songs. Now I have been to many Disco Biscuits shows and many of them under the influence of something but that night I was more or less sober so I guess my tolerance for the pushing and the screaming that occurs when you are three rows back was minimal and I wasn't thrilled by their blatant lack of respect. I don't often go in the pit because of this (and because the sound can be poor) and I haven't been that close too many times since. The show was decent, nothing mind-blowing but I walked away that night knowing I had to write a review for this show...through the eyes of those fucked up kids. Thus began a three year journey of writing reviews. If you want to see the initial reactions you can go here: http://www.phantasytour.com/bisco/boards_thread.cgi?threadID=1012976
